Mrs. Jess

Mrs. Jessica Barrett is known to the students at TLC as Mrs. Jess. She has been married to Mr. Barrett for 10 years. They have two beautiful children, Charlotte and Wyatt. Mrs. Jess is entering her sixth year as a teacher, and this is her third year at The Learning Center. She considers it such a blessing to be able to share her love for God through a Christ-centered education, and she absolutely loves teaching! When students enter Mrs. Jess’s classroom, they are going to have so much fun learning lots of new things! Mrs. Jess is so excited to get to know each of her students this school year where she will be teaching middle school math, science, and literature! 

Mrs. Jess obtained an Advanced Studies Diploma when she graduated high school in 2008. Soon after high school, she graduated from National College with a Pharmacy Technician Diploma and worked as a pharmacy technician from 2010 – 2015. Mrs. Jess went back to college at UVA-Wise in 2015 and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Minor in Education. Currently, Mrs. Jess is working on a Master of Education: Math Specialist Degree from Liberty University with hopes of graduating within the next few years.
